Hey, sparkyred gave me this idea:
- The Path– Laurie Beth Jones
- The Game– Theresa Toten
- Magician’s Ward– Patricia C. Wrede
- Saladin– can’t remember
- Over the Edge– Gloria M. something
- Child of the Prophecy– Juliet Marillier
- A Grief Observed– C.S. Lewis
- Matilda Bone– Karen Cushman
- True Enough– Lauren Brooke
- Magic’s Price– Mercedes Lackey
- Crime Scene Investigations– somebody
- Eddie Rickenbacher– err…someone
- A Pig Named Perrier– yeah, again
- Ashes of Roses– Mary Jane Auch
- Lady of Hay– Barbara Erskine (eek!)
- Deep Secret– Diana Wynne Jones
- Flashback– Nevada Barr
- The Fallen Man– Tony Hillerman
- The First Eagle– Tony Hillerman
- The Blessing Way– Tony Hillerman
- Dance Hall of the Dead– Tony Hillerman
- Listening Woman– Tony Hillerman
- Across the Nightengale Floor – Lian Hearn
I can’t remember the authors of most of the books I read while working for Scholastic, and I’m too lazy to go look them up. Lady of Hay is about the area where essayel lives, and while the premise of the book and the writing can be atrocious, the historical aspect and setting are interesting. Deep Secret was lots of fun, and I read it because of epicyclical. Flashback was about Fort Jefferson on the Dry Tortugas, and I really really liked it. A Civil War fort in a national park as the setting. How could it be bad?
